At RMIT we set high standards for delivering transformational education experiences for our students and a safe and productive work environment for our staff. We understand that sometimes we may not get it right. If you need to raise an issue with us please see below.

If you are a current or former RMIT student you can lodge a complaint via the student complaints portal on the RMIT students site.

Prospective RMIT students

Are you thinking of studying with RMIT? If you have had some contact with us, or you have received an offer but not yet enrolled and would like to raise an issue or concern?

You can lodge a complaint via the student complaints portal on the RMIT students site.

Third party

If you are a 3rd party and wish to raise a complaint regarding RMIT, please use the 3rd party portal below.

If you are a staff member, parent/guardian/sponsor of a student, or a student, and you wish to raise a concern or issue about RMIT please use the above portals (this includes any complaints regarding enrolments and student experience).

Whistleblower

Any person with a serious report of improper conduct including fraud or criminal activity involving RMIT can make a report, including an anonymous report via our external Whistleblower hotline service. Select Make a Report.

External complaints and review mechanisms

Ombudsman Victoria

The Victorian Ombudsman can review a complaint outcome to determine if you have been treated fairly.

IBAC

The Independent broad-based anti-corruption commission can receive complaints regarding serious misconduct and corruption in the public sector. 

Australian Indigenous and Torres Strait Islander students

The Ngarara Willim Centre supports Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples to reach their potential with a range of study, living and cultural services.
