About the workshops

The Library runs free Study KnowHow workshops for all RMIT students at the start of each semester. We've designed these workshops to help you develop some basic study skills making you a more effective and efficient learner. We cover study skills, writing, referencing, presenting, searching for information, maths and chemistry.

Learn how to find and use videos and images for your courses and understand how to correctly credit your sources. Learn about:

  • The types of creative commons (CC) licenses and how to attribute the work of others.
  • How to find CC-licensed images and videos that you can use in your classes, projects, and research.

All students are welcome!  During this workshop we will also cover medical and fashion-related images.

  • using citation generators to save time.
