Booking study rooms

Rooms can be reserved for a maximum of two hours per day, unless otherwise specified. There are no block or weekly bookings.
RMIT staff please note that the Library rooms are for student use, they are not available as general teaching or meeting spaces. Staff can book meeting and teaching spaces with Property Services (login required).

Rooms on offer

There are two group study rooms and a seminar room with seating for 20 people. The seminar room is primarily for Library workshops and for student bookings at other times during semester.

Bundoora Library has twelve group study rooms divided between three floors. Two silent study rooms are located on Level 3.

The postgraduate room on Level 3 needs a key, which you can get from the service desk. Bookings are not required.

Swanston Library has 17 rooms for group study on Levels 5 and 6.

Just want to listen to a lecture?

If you are on your own, please don't use the study room for that purpose. We only have a small number of rooms available and they are meant for group study.

You can listen to your lecture anywhere in the Library. Just don't forget to bring your headphones, so you won't disturb other students.

When using our rooms, please

  • Leave the room clean and tidy
  • If there is an emergency or emergency drill, you must leave the room immediately.
  • Take all your belongings when you finish and don’t leave anything unattended. We will not be responsible if your personal items go missing.
